so we are trying to go some where different this summer for our family vacation , and looking to maybe go to the islands . i have always heard aruba is a good time and well worth it . any thoughts or something else that may be good and not cost a ton of money .

i have never been to the islands , but is it better to go all inclusive or just pay as you go ? we are not big drinkers so im sure it may be cheaper to just pay as we go

IMHO as far as Aruba, all that I remember from there is lots of wind, blowing sand and gambling. (been a few years, but i doubt it has changes much) and my wife and I like to try different restuarants. We have never done an all inclusive. If it's still safe to travel around town

Most people go to Aruba in the winter.It is a great place to vacation.I thought the pink beach was really cool.

most likely going to plain it for the week before memorial day weekend . if we go that is . still up in the air , we like to go to yellowstone , but think it may be a cool to go down there since we have never been there . and with diesel as $$ as it is it may be cheaper to catch a flight and go down .

Been to Aruba twice. Great place.. guaranteed great weather.. as a matter of fact.. with it being so close to the equator...they do advise that you don't let yourself cook in the sun between 11 a.m. - 2 .pm.

It's a small island.. very safe to travel around.. we rented motorbikes and did our own tour of the island.. what a blast!

Aruba isn't cheap.. you might be better doing an all inclusive .

We were in the Dominican not long ago.. Also nice.. very reasonably priced.. and pretty much all the resorts are all inclusive.
You're pretty tired of buffet's by the end of the week though.

Aruba is great. There is a track there as most of you already know. Lots of car people there too. Look into the Tamarin. It is all inclusive reasonable and clean. Hell I would stay anywhere right now just to be there! Hoping to go to the sister Island of Curaco? Not sure if I spelled that right? I klnow they call them the ABC Islands. Aruba Bonair and Curaco? Anybody been to those islands and what were they like? Supposed to be going with a friend end of March?

flew in , grabbed a cruise , out we went ................place looked liked the hood .......didn't think the plane was gunna land (small island) got out of the plane and walked acrossed the runway......should have known then..................:-Daw

I loved Aruba, check the track schedule and plan your trip to make a race weekend. I think they run that time of year but it isn't listed yet.

I was at an all-inclusive and the far end of the island from the track but it was only a half hour drive the evening i went to the races.

Very friendly place, nobody murdered me at all.

I stayed at the Renessiance Hotel in Aruba. They have there own personal Island and a boat comes in the hotel lobby and pics you up. It is bad ass I loved it. there.
