Moroso says to install as close to the crank as possible. Well on my sbc I already have a fuel pump and an alt. mounted which doesn't leave me a whole lot of room. The pump is under driven anyway so would I have issues with the belt if I mounted it just past the driver side head off the motor plate. It would only be 13.5" center to center on the pulleys. My alt. has a 12" center to center, I just didn't know if the pump worked harder than an alt.?
