One of the local GTO guys got in a minor accident that totalled his car. Engine and turbo kit got removed today. It's a LS2 403 with an APS turbo kit. He had 20k miles on that combo with it tuned at 590rwhp 650rwtq through a 4L60E. I'm getting the complete stroker for $2000. Should I tear it down and freshen anything?

Here's the motor specs:

Callies 4” 4340 Forged Crank
Callies LS2 6.125” Forged Connecting Rods
Diamond Forged IBF Race Pistons 28cc Dish 9.2:1 CR 4.005 Bore

ARP Head and Main Studs
Melling High Flow Oil Pump
Patriot Gold Spring Kit
Manley Race-Flo Exhaust and Intake Valves
Comp Cams 5/16 One-piece Chromemoly 7.40 Push Rods
Manley LS2 Double Roller Timing Set
Stock LS2 Cam
Heads Ported, polished, 3-angle valve job

Of course you should open it up and check things before you install it. If you only have $2,000 invested in the whole engine then by all means spend a couple hundred on some new bearings and rings and gaskets...
