I am running a conventional 370"SBC with twin 75s. The car is going to be mainly a street car with occasional track time. I have a decent size dual pass Afco radiator with a single 16" fan. The water pump is an Edelbrock high perf mechanical pump. My issue is that my cold side plumbing is in the way of a conventional top hose. I would like to leave the bottom hose alone but run a -16 for the top hose. Any opinions on a -16 being good enough for the street?

Thanks

i run a -20 upper. whats the issue with your top hose, pics?

if i had to do it again i would machine off the neck area to the flanges. weld -12 bung to the intake and run then to the rad. as upper hoses..

I don't have any pics right now. I was just gonna try and find a stock type hose that would work but I am afraid with the 4" cold side piping running across the front of the engine a braided hose that I can manipulate would be better. Just wanted to go -16 if I could but -20 is an option also.
