All you Broomfield Colorado guys check your yard for parts....... Twin engine 777 has had a mid air "Event" in Colorado and lands safely.

Maybe they had a flock of geese sucked into the engine.......???
They're considered very reliable (GE90) but it's not the first time one of them grenaded. And brother, this ain't no little weedeater motor, either.....o_O

Wow, wouldn't want to see that looking out the window
Well, if I did see it out the window and captured a video of it I would not be stupid and post it on "Twitter".

I'm betting it's worth a good penny as an "exclusive" to a network news organization. I'm sure that value is reduced once it gets posted online.

Was probably a fun landing. Heavy as hell with fuel even after a dump.

Where's an aviation expert on heavies?

Some of them are Trent 800s or PW4000s.

I'm staring at the on-wing video and its weird. Fan case is intact, definitely looks imbalanced, but whatever it was blew off the lipskin, fan cowl, and a chunk of the trust reverser that covers the cascades. Mighta been a disc come apart.
