This is the very FIRST V8 engine
Patented in 1902 by Leon Levavasseur. He had a successful running engine, called the Antoinette V8, in a racing boat by 1904, shortly thereafter in aircraft.
Here's whats really amazing about it. It had a simple form of Direct Injection. Note the 8 individual injector units. And it was very light.
The picture is of the second generation larger aircraft engine. 110mm bore, 105mm stroke...7.9 ltr. and it weighed only 190 lbs.
Its power/weight ratio (normally aspirated) would not be exceeded for 25 years

I'm sure whoever owns this is probably pretty proud of it, but this shit has no business in this thread. Rubber fuel lines with worm clamps, the entire intake tract is silicone sleeves basically, yellow shit all over the place. Come on man. There is nothing ultra wicked about this at all.
