Looking at building a twin turbo 427w I already have a Dart iron eagle block, 4 inch Callies crank and Compstar I beam rods with arp2000 bolts. I also have a set of unidentifiable forged pistons with a huge 34cc dish that would put me at 8.5 to 1. I am using a set of 225 cc Brodix track ones with a little extra love. I'm looking to build a street strip motor that I could pump gas tune for the street and race gas tune for the drag strip. Id love to be able to make around 900 on pump gas and 1200 on race gas. I figure the car will weight around 3100-3200 with all the turbo stuff installed. 68 mustang with 1.69 glide and 9 inch rear will change gear to optimize set up. I Also have a few garret air to air cores I plan on making a Twin turbo intercooler similar to one Shearer offers but not as pretty.

I am torn with changing the pistons to get 9.5 to 1 or keeping what I have?
I was thinking twin S369sxe but Open to other suggestions?
Hy or solid roller cam?
Keep the Holley sniper which has worked flawless for me of upgrade to multi port?

Hydraulic cam with .600" lift is all you need, you'll make your target HP between 6000-6500rpm . I don't know if I'd run those mystery pistons though. The 8.5 compression is a little low (I'd target 9-9.5) but okay. They may be okay with the right ring package but I'd want to have pistons that I know are designed for a turbo engine.

I was feeling the same way about the pistons. I’ll order a nice set of pistons.
Do turbo set ups run a vacuum pump?
I have a GZ motor sports one on the car now with the current set up. Should I try to keep it and make it all fit or don’t bother?

I wouldn't bother. For 15 years all I've used is 2 of these on my valve covers. 85-1222 K&N AIR FILTER VENT KIT. I do modify them by cutting the top plastic frame at the top out and put 3-4 circular sections of Scotch Brite (I cut out from a pad) inside that stack to capture some of the oil in the blow-by vapor.

If you have the pump already, why not run it?

I'm running the gz pump on my street car. Keeps the oil nice and clean. Should make more power also.

I had twin 70's on my Morgan and sons 427 and the car went 4.8X but I also drove it all over the place. Granted it was not a comfortable car but it was capable.

If you need any turbos or supporting parts feel free to shoot me a message or you are welcome to check out the site. We do not have every turbo we carry on the site but you are welcome to give me a call or send a message and we can go over some things. There isnt much we dont carry in supporting parts for a turbo car.
