I just switched from a Billet S484 ( 1.32/96 ) from Forced Induction turbo to the new Billet S491 (1.32/104 )

The 84 had the old V1 cover also .

I was going to upgrade all the 3" cold side to 3.5" but wanted to see the difference between turbos before changing all that .

Intercooler is a 6x6.5x12 Bell water to air core . Not changing that ....... not in the cards right now , plus space is limited .

Anyone make this switch ? Just looking for what to expect . Obviously wont see the track any time soon .

The old turbo made 33psi on a AFR195 headed 383sbc . Made apox 1350fwhp according to calculators

104 turbine now, nice. I didn’t have an 84 but from an 80 to the 91 was one hell of a difference good luck with it can’t wait to see how it does

I didn’t know he was making a 104 until your post, I was just surprised. mine is a 102 turbine

Dave- We just put one of Jose's 91/102 on a 4.6 2v. It made big power for sure. Had to shut things down, it easily made more than what I'm comfortable pushing those rods and wasn't close to stopping. I can't wait to see all the shit you break now lol

Dave- We just put one of Jose's 91/102 on a 4.6 2v. It made big power for sure. Had to shut things down, it easily made more than what I'm comfortable pushing those rods and wasn't close to stopping. I can't wait to see all the shit you break now lol
You mean there's more to break ?

what rwhp is this capable of? I swapped from a 85/96 to a 91/102 on my 5.3 , haven't got to the track yet

Mathematically, I'm gonna say your limited to 1,450hp-ish cause that's all that compressor wheel can do in that cover that was pictured above. That cover from Borg is maxed out on volume with the 88mm comp wheel. But jumping to the 91mm inducer would help increase the P.R which could net a decent gain.
