Hey everyone it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. I have a 70 mustang I just finished up doing a Mustang 2 style suspension with coilovers. But to my question… I have a VSR billet 80mm laying around and I’m wanting to put it on a stroker Windsor. What cubic inch and size heads should I go for? 408, 428 big bore? Afr220s? Turbo specs are: 80mm compressor wheel, 96/88 turbine wheel, 1.32 AR T6 flange. I’m new to the turbo world so go easy on me. TIA

Stock block or dart block ?? Application ? Drag only ? Street car ? Pro touring etc ? A 4” stroke crank combo is Gonna Swallow up that turbo fast. It’ll be a dam good time and spool fast but it will eventually choke the big motor out.

if it’s not a max effort deal. Just keep it simple. 408 if stock block. Or a 393.
427 if a dart block.
Afr 220 will do either.

tfs 240 hi port is pretty proven. Little different header flange. But I assume building custom headers ?

Yes it’ll be a dart block build either way I go. Street/strip, it’ll be an efi build (terminator x), yea I’m not going for max effort, just a fun weekend car. Yes exhaust will be all custom. I have lots of room in the engine bay now since I don’t have shock towers.

With that many cubes, it will spool fast but run out up top. That being said I've got a guy running one of my s488 units on a 427" making 1,000rwhp.

Yes. Super easy combo for sure. Just do a 427. 4.125 bore 4” stroke. It’ll be a monster. I agree the turbo will run out of breath early in the upper rpm area. Bigger turbine would be nice.
Or....
two smaller twins and let it eat. Make crazy power. Spool fast and easier to package.
