Its a long story. First thats not me. That young man is a apprentice welder for the, (yea thats right, nuclear navy)...
Anyway its a roller control that is "not on the torch". Our welder is missing his right index finger, and prefers to hold the wire and control in the same hand. The "new guy" is working it as well. Reason is sometimes aboard submarines, another person must operate the control due to very tight places, like upside down, welding thru a mirror, and left handed.
Practice makes perfect...
Thanks

And the forward strut thingies mounted to the floor thingamabobs that go to the inthechannel tubethru bars...
Yea what I said.

Oh and those things will be lower. Their just sitting there.
Don't tell anyone about the 25.2 sitting next to your car. Its a secret.

Thanks. I don't do the welding but I've had to pound, shove and poke Kevin into impossible positions a hundred times. Thats another reason to have the control outside the car. He can concentrate on welding and "seeing" instead of all three.

Vic here are some updates. The cage is welded, floor system is welded and we're starting the back. Hope you like it, we dooooo..
Zim

To weld you need a lot of these...

Then you can do this like nine fingers.

And make stuff like this...

And like a lego set put it together like this.

That allows you to put that thing in the floor and put this on top.

Hey Vic, if ya take out the floor, you can drop the main cage to weld it without cutting holes in the floor...I think we'll leave it low like that, you could carry lumber across the inside like a roof rack.

Last on for now. Pretty....

Kevin used 100s so it'll take six helper boys and a roll back to break this stuff...
See ya Vic, and tell Jonathan to keep puttin that money away...
Hehehehehehe

Here is a update Jonathan. Back bars went in today and finished some other welding. We recieved the additional tubing from the Chassis Shop last week so door bars, dash and rear bars will go in next then we're done. Oh and some sheet metal.

My name is Robert, also from Jacksonville FL, and a friend of the brothers, Jon and Vic. Jonathan told me about this site today. The cage looked good before. I can't wait to see the updated version in person.

Mad props on the welder with a handicap. Magnificent Job!! Keep up the great work

Thanks. The welder probably wouldn't say 9 fingers is a handicap. He'd probably say something like "I broke this off in somebodys ass and can't find it"
Hehehehehehe
