what do you do different on turbo heads compared to a NA head. Do you go for peak cfm, make bigger exhaust runners? Have a set of cnc tfs-r heads and was comparing to mine and noticed a 1262r gasket has to be cut alot. The exhaust is a hair smaller than mine but more of a round shape compared to mine. damn thing has a deck from hell which I like since mine have been decked from the na motor.

Usually a slightly bigger port volume helps especially on the exhuast side for a given engine vrs NA, but not massively bigger. The valve job on the exhuast valve is critical but not for flow. Having the proper exhuast valve margin helps reduce preignition and increase valve life by conducting more heat into the valve seat.
