had my 400 freshened put it back in and it would not let motor rev when in park. checked linkage and shifter everything was good used the same converter as before it would rev just fine in neutral but not in park would bog down motor. pulled trans reputable builder went back through and same thing wondering is this a brake problem, converter, or something in trans any help appreciated thanks.

Is this a t-brake trans ?

If so was there any parts replaced or possibly changed ?

I had a trans come in with this problem & it ended up being no bleed hole in the high gear drum.

yes it has a brake the reason for freshen-up was cracked bellhousing so we swapped everything to a new case i don't think he changed any internals this is a spare now but still needs fixed.
