This is exactly what we did after Steve re-plumbed our foggers. We made a sleeve and extended the primary shaft to the back of the manifold, added a ball bearing support at the rear to help hold the main shaft. We modified and relocated our "bellcrank" from the center to the rear of the manifold, shortened the throttle shaft and reconnected. Works great, we used ball bearing inserts everywhere to prevent binding. I'll try to post some pics soon.I've done it several times. I used to plumb manifolds. You still use the same lower piece of the linkage. You just move it to the back of the manifold. What you use from that to the pedal is up to you. It puts it right close to the firewall so you may be able to use solid linkage instead of a cable.
