After i get my car tuned on my first stage is there any difference for tuning the second stage or should more timing then normal be taken out? ive got a 555 and im spraying 250 out of the gate on my plate and im planning on spraying another 250 on the fogger..... its in a 3400 lbs ladder bar car.....

1st off....get rid of that plate!!!!


I would make total timing around 15* on 2 kits. Make a couple 330 hits, shut if off and read your plugs to see where you're at and make any necessary adjustments.

whats wrong with the plate? should i just hit the car with 500 off the fogger instead?

Plates are notorious for bad fuel distribution. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find some relative threads on the subject.

will 250 on a plate go faster than 250 on a fogger? ive heard this is true, but ive also heard that foggers arent as hard on parts at the same hp level as a plate

WOW, plates are cool LOL... i use a big shot on 400 and it runs great, i also have a fogger in the closet that i am leary to use cuz i've spent all this time figuring the plate out.

plate system

i have not seen any problems with running a plate system with a fogger,their are lot or even more plate system out there than foggers,all in the tune up,the plates will hit harder than the fogger unless you make the lines longer before the plate for a softer hit,the set up i tune for a car ,540 with a fogger and plate,we use the fogger for the 1st stage and the plat for the sec.,at 3000 lbs on 10.5ws it runs a best of 5.04.
