We have a 88 Mustang with a 306 C4 using a TCI trans brake, here's the problem. When on the brake and you bring the motor up on the converter once it gets to 3000 rpm the car starts to move and will push through the beams.

Is this a problem with the brake or the converter?

To me it sounds like your direct clutches aren't holding. I could be wrong, but typically when a t-brake doesn't hold with rpm, its either low line pressure or directs don't hold (which is usually caused by low line pressure).

But we'll let one of the other trans experts answer this and tell ya for sure.
