Had an incident with my car last weekend. Off the transbrake at 4300RPM, converter flashes to 6900RPM with front wheels in the air about 10 inches then 1.1 seconds into the run hits the rev control at 8500RPM dropping the front end down. PTC says converter checked out fine, tranny is Coan ultralite T400 with 2.10 first gear. NA Pontiac running true 10.5 tire. Still waiting on feedback from Coan. Any idea what might have failed?

Did it still shift? If not, what's missing?

It would shift but once you loaded it in any gear sounded like hell. It was at 7520 RPM in 1st then hit chip. I shift at 8000 RPM.

Ick.. Was there a lot of stuff in the pan?
