Anyone have experience using Total Seal's ring-groove spacers that support thin rings in stock-sized piston grooves.

Example 5/64 to 1.2 mm ring thickness.

Would you recommend if required to use traditional "stock type" pistons.

I've used several sets on H345ACP Sealed Power hyper pistons, low compression 357 street driven sbc application that was sprayed to around 700hp on 87 octane pump gas. I used the gas ported spacers, $700/set rings on $95/set pistons. No problem with the rings, but oil consumption was a problem on the street until I started drawing a vacuum in the crankcase.
