I have an old wells cargo trailer that I am putting brakes on and tires and a bunch of small stuff. I was laying under it this afternoon wondering how I would know if they were worn out?

nobody???? I would guess if its wearing the tires all stupid that would be a sure giveaway, but other than that, how do you know if the axles are getting bad? or do they?

anyone ever changed a set of axles?

I've changed axles but I went from 3500 lb to 5000 lb. The old ones got sold and are still in use...

I did a little searching & found some interesting information on Dexters site (this is who's axles are on my trailer). most is pretty common sense, but kind of interesting, none the less.
