That's really great how all his buddy's pitched in to help get him going again. Makes you realize that this sport is a lot more than just racing, but about good friends and having a good time together.

I'd like to ask some of the other drivers about the wreck.. This is not to pick on Tommy or what he did or didn't do in that instance, we all know hindsight is 20/20... but what would you have done in that situation? I want to avoid it if I ever get there of course, as I'm sure most of you would want to as well.

I seen another driver get into somewhat similar situation earlier this year, and right when it looked like the car was going to catch he matted it breaking the tires loose.. Here's a video of what I'm talking about -

In that situation it saved the car I think... opinions??

Seen that video a number of different places. My feeling is the same today as when I first saw it a month ago. That driver passed the "I'm a COMPLETE F***ING Idiot test" at about the 80 ft make and managed not to hurt himself, his car, or more important, the person in the other lane.
