Are you use stock rear suspension mounting points? If yes are you going to use offset lower control arms?
Years ago before there was a lot of good LCA and UCA parts available I had my fox mini tubbed and ladder bars installed. I had the 8.8 narrowed some and I couldn't have ran stock LCA axle locations. I bought Auto Chassis Weld mini tubs and can fit 29.5-10.5W in the tubs. They were on 12 inch rims with 5.5 BS. The front of wheel opening-rocker panel may need some trimming.

ive had somebody else also tell me today tha biggest tire i can put in the mini tubbed wheel well is a 28-10.5, ive got an old 28-10.5 still mounted on a rim and dang ive got so much room around that tire when i stick it up in the wheel well that it aint even funny, easily 2-3in on each side of tha tire when i put it up in there..according to the numbers the 28x10.5 is only 1.5in smaller on section width & 1in smaller on tread width than ur 29x10.5w but it looks so small in the wheel well got me scracthing my head

Go to Auto Chassis Welds website and see what they say fits their tubs. I think they said a 13 inch wide tire will fit.

2 friends with mini tubbed Fox bodies, both have run 12" tires. One on 10" rims and the other on 12" rims.

we have 315 pros on our Fairmont. we split the stock tub and added 1 1/2 inch strip in the middle. it needed some hammer work on the front inside corner but they fit nicely.

I have a mini tubbed Mustang, the 1/4 panels have been streached my rear housing has been narrowed. I get 315 drag radials on a 12" rim with 6.5 back space. 1/4 panel lips have been rolled.

I really don't understand how no one yet has a definitive answer to this question. So many fox bodies out there with mini tubs and most guys still only run a 28x10.5. I'm with the OP, I want to run the widest fuckin thing I can buy under the back of this car. The biggest issue I'm seeing is the need for offset lower control arms when you go wide. Yes the tire clears the frame, but will it clear the LCA's.

I'd love to jam a 26" tall tire with a 345 section width. Short and wide. Like my ex.

If it is a GT you have to trim the body kit to run taller tires. 28" is about as tall as you can go in that case. Interested to hear from other people, because I see fox bodies with 315 wide tires all the time, and I want MORE

I’ve always read that a 30 inch diameter tire requires cutting of the inner front portion of the wheel well

I described my mini-tub in that thread. I run a 295/65/15 drag radial but probably could fit a 315/60/15. Most overlook the advantage of a taller tire. Foot print improves and the sidewall reaction is better. It's a little harder to get a 30" tire in there but the increased performance is worth it.

I’ve run 28x13.5” (6.6”BS) and still had room to spare. Rear narrowed 1.5” with mini springs.
