What are you guys using for sealant for your head studs (Mark IV) block? Putting together a 496 for my 57.

Thanks
Steve

Thread sealer from the local NAPA store. Apply sparingly on clean, dry threads - works very well.

The Right Stuff. I also put it on the nut threads cause coolant was following the stud and leaking around the nuts.

Just a suggestion for what ever you use. Use something like a kitchen match stick and apply the sealant to the inside of the female threads also. The fastener will run over the sealant on the way in.
