thinking on getting one when my permits come in.
its the Glock 22 gen 4 in 40 cal.
also what the general consensus on a decent 380 ?

I have a gen4 22 & 17. I love them both. Flawless firearms.
wouldn't own anything else. As far as the 380 the ruget lcp is pretty nice and has great reviews.

Ive shot the Gen 4s and like them but im not getting rid of mine gen 2 and 3s just for something new.

I second the XD .40, I have the service model. XD's are a breeze to clean, compared to a glock.. not to mention a more comfortable and better aiming firearm.

I can clean my Glocks in 5 minutes.

I was going to say the same thing. I take mine down and clean and reassemble in about 8 minutes. Never had any issues in function or accuracy. Dawson precision trigger kit and fiber optic adjustable sights. Shoots like a dream. Funny though......the glock 17 and 35 have won national titles for how many years now? Uspsa and idpa.
