Well, after 13 years of age, my best friend had to be put down due to kidney failure and a severe case of diabetes.

Today was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make......we went ahead and put him down since he was very old and would have a slim chance at recovering.

Nikki was a great dog and served as a great friend over the years. Never did anything wrong, acted like an ideal companion and was the dog almost anyone would want.

No more pain, no more worrying......all done...........man this is a hard day.......

RIP Nikki, you will never be forgotten!

sorry for your loss we went throught he same kind of thing last year.. lost our pet suddenly at a young age... Keep your head high We also got back into it and gave a new dog a home that was homeless....

Beautiful dog, I too had to put my Blueheeler down at 13 for similar reasons. Don't wait too long to find another companion as it really helps ease the pain of your loss.
