wash solution I think. Anodize is electro-chemical solution. Id guese the same prep as if you were chroming a part.

What the prep for going black ?;)
And how does everyone do it ? Paint, powdercoat or what ?
POWDER COAT IS WAY TO GO,JUST FIND A SHOP THAT DOES IT,THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING YA NEED ,ITS ABOUT 75.OO A WHEEL AROUND HERE.

you can do a powdercoat that looks anodzied they polish it first(which welds are already)then bake on the powder coat color which is see thru so it looks like colored chrome

Send them to qc coatings . Price is fair . They are a member hear too .

Maybe I should get off my ass then and send my wheels to you here soon then . Black chrome is the way to go .

put them on a car with cheap brake pads and don't wash them for a year, seems to work on everything I owe

Thanks. I would go the powdercoat route. Especially since I need the money!:p

How much you get for the black chrome effect Bill...?

got any pic's of rims done up like this..?
