I gotta give some big props to Steve Johnson. I have been struggling a bit with the performance of my car, wondering why it was not performing up to expectations. I run a plate kit which is an older Pro 2 Stage NOS model and am only running 1 stage, the bottom bars. Steve took my kit and checked it all out including flowing it. He found the top bars were leaking where they are epoxied in, and my line that ran from the solenoid to the plate had been assembled improperly with some ends of the braided line protruding into the hose at one end.

He plumped the other side with his noids and hard line, but I have not had a chance to make back to back hits with the different kits yet.

I did however run a personal best last night in the heat, 80* and 80% humidity with a 6.25 @ 111. Previously with the same jets (83 square) there was no increase in ET over the 73 jets, as the line was limiting the nitrous. I also upgraded to a line with a -4 on one end as they have a bigger ID. My old best was a 6.37 @ 107.

Also thanks to TRZ Motorsports, the rear suspension kit turned this into a different car.

Yes I won the race in the vid :)

Hey Rob,
Just wanted to say thanks for the post !!! I'm glad we were able to help you straighten out that old NOS plate after you fighting with it for as long as you did... Just goes to show that the tune up is only a part of the puzzle, the components that make up a system are key as well.. That's the main reason we started doing all the blueprinting and double and tripple checking parts even though they were new... Great to hear we were able to help you pick up your ride !!! Thanks, SJ
