Hello, I just re-assembled my th400 (Coan Extreme Performance) and now my transbrake will it hold the car.. I’ve also noticed I have to rev the engine slightly in reverse for the car to move, but don’t seem to have any issue at all in the forward gears even 3rd. Any suggestions to check before I completely tear it apart again? Any help is much appreciated!! The trans has a coan pro brake too btw.

If all forward gears are good, i would be checking rear band. Cover loose? Also power and ground to solenoid. Solenoid activation . Pressure tests are never a bad thing either and linkage adjustments.

Everyone thanks for all the advice and suggestions. I did NOT pressure test or check the clearance of the rear band when I re built the trans. I will first preform a pressure test and if that check out fine I will also test the solenoid before taking it apart

You can check band clearance without disassembly. If the pressure test comes back good, I'd be checking rear band clearance next
