FWIW, Coan makes a snap-ring support that bolts in and supports the snap-ring across the gap so it's not as easy to blow the lugs out. This only works on full manual versions. It's my understanding that the lug closest to the gap breaks first and then they start coming off like popcorn. I had this happen once, got a new (used) case and installed the support. Hasn't been an issue since. The support is something like $25

Of all the cases I have seen, the Reid case looks to be the best. If you need any help just give Patrick at ATF a call 954-916-1155
