Does anyone make a heavy duty low roller clutch for a 400 or
GM parts is suefficent enough. Also i have to different reaction
carriers, one is one piece unit, the other has a metal space ring at the buttom of roller ramps, is there any perferance to that?
building a 400 strip/strp 3200lb car in the 600-700hp engine hp

There is a new version of the 60 design with full length springs which would be considered HD. Either carrier will work , one design is a 2 piece which uses the C ring in the bottom to space the roller clutch. The other option is to ditch the C ring and use the late 4L80E roller which comes with standoffs to space the roller from the carrier table.

that exactly what i have, buddy from gm dealer gave me that clucth standoffs and i was wondering what they are for,
figured it was for the new 4l80e but it didn't fit the one piece carrier. I ll go the that option.
