Hello all!

Working to try to create a radial class along the Gulf Coast: South Coast 275 aka SoCo275.

For those that live along the coast, and the south, a vast majority of the racing is clock off, NT, grudge style shootouts, we look add to this with clock on radial racing with the SoCo275.

The idea is simple. Have a baseline set of rules to work with (which can be found here: Home | SoCo275.com ), and base everything off of a 32 car field, divided in to 4 groups pairing them up based on a proladder and 3 qualifying passes, with a 3 tenth improvement based off of the #1 qualifier for each group of 8. In other words if the Quick 8 #1 qualifier goes a 4.81, by the finals he can improve his ET to as quick as 4.51, everyone else in the group can also improve their ET as such.

The main goal is to create a radial class, that doesn't change every year, costing thousands of dollars, and casts a broad net to allow as much participation as possible.

This will be a points series with the first event taking place @ Emerald Coast Dragway February 19th and 20th 2021.

Thanks for taking a look and hope to see you at some of the events:

The races are going to be centered around Emerald Coast Dragway in Holt Florida, US90 Dragway in Mobile AL (should it re-open) and No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA.

A lot of the guys that race in that range, especially turbo guys, kinda get the cold shoulder around here, and are getting fed up with the NT shootouts because the classes are always for the most part unbalanced, with a few faster cars always dominating the class.

Hopefully this will be something that gets mostly the class racer, or the guys that aren't necessarily competitive in the classes they are in, involved as this will balance things out nicely, especially if we can get some solid participation.

Seems like a really good idea, but still a good 7.5+ hour drive east for me to even get to Belle Rose, LA. We have the same issue here in TX. N/T Grudge or 4.50/4.60 in Limited 275. I would fit in the Fast 8 range currently.

The ET's posted aren't necessarily what the class will run. Hell, it might be a 4.80 to 6.0 class depending on participation.

Gotta start somewhere.

In regards to traveling it'd be nice to have you, and traveling is part of the fun of this stuff.
