I am switching from 23* to 18* on my 406 My current converter is way overdue to be freshened (1500+passes  ) It worked great behind my 600ish Hp motor stall was around 5300. The 18* motor should make upwards of 750hp. The car was a little traction limited with the old motor will probably be worse with the new motor I am going to go a little on the big side on the heads and cam to try and move some of the power band up. Question is while the converter is back should it be tweeked for the new combo in any way or should I just have it freshened and see how it works?

Thanks
Craig

With the changes in the heads and camshaft, you may find the converter in its present form will be close to perfect. Be sure to let your converter company know of the new plans regardless as they may want to make a small change to help with the new found hp.
I don't think there will have to be a major change made.

Take care ,Hutch
