i'm gonna build a Chevy (dont know which one yet BBC/SBC) for my truck for the street :)...my ?? is: can i run the stock water pump?...i need to cool it somehow useing the radiator!...i know i can use a fan behind the radiator in place of the stock fan for clearance purposes (belt)...& i really dont want to use an electric pump cause of the plumbing issues etc...Pls help me with some insight into how/what to do :)

TIA :)

what kind of supercharger are you talking about? Roots or Centrifugal? I've seen both using mechanical water pumps.

I run the stock type short style water pump that came equipped on the zz502 crate motor.
With a 2 row griffan rad and spal dual 12 inch fans..the 461 never exceeds 190*f in grid lock traffic.
