Jim's friend Bobby's Boss 302 build (not the H&M Boss 302), I'll start with the machine shop work pictures. They had to sleeve one cyl., bore/hone, and align hone the mains. Block was decked to 8.2".

Looks like the rods had a rough life, they are reconditioned now and ready to go.

The Boss 302 heads for this build got some guide work done.

Installing new intake seats and exhaust guides in the Boss 302 heads. New seats and the correct valve job is the best bang for your buck with the Boss and Cleveland heads.

Found out that the intake valve will be 2.150" with a throat of 1.935" (90%).

Looks like the intake ports and intake manifold are going to get a "tune" up and the valves showed up.

Heads are looking nice , will be interesting to see after epoxy work . What is the planned hp rpm ? What about rockers ?

Rockers are going to be scorpion stud mount because that's what we have.
IDK if I'll flow the head or not, maybe if I get curious. I wouldn't be putting epoxy in these if it wasn't such a small cu in engine. I think it will benefit from it.

I'm expecting power to be in the 7k range but Ive never done one of these with the boss intake either so we shall see.

Is this the build for the maverick , street -strip right ? Cam doesn't look too aggressive but should have good lift with 1.73 rocker . I think it will have a nice broad power band with the stock stroke and intake and little filling .

should be close to .600 lift
