Strange front brake kit on fox body ?

5726 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Heinriech
Currently car is 4 lug. Rather do the strange brake kit in stead of me installing sn95 front brakes to convert to 5 lug. My question is can I just do the front brake kit to complete the conversion? Or is there anything else I needa change?

Brake kit is all that's needed. Just know what year your spindles are when you order they go 1979-86 (this they call there 4cly) 87-93 4cly, then there is 87-88 V-8. Need more help PM me.
I just changed my original 87 fox front brakes to Strange front brakes. Strange does make a 4 lug mustang style front brakes. I found out by calling to talk to them on my install. Talk with Jason I know he will do you right. I got my front cross member from him.

Here is a shot of the new front brakes on my coupe.

Can they be ran with the stock brake master?
X2..... I just switched from the Lincoln mark7 style front brakes to Strange's from PA Racing... I could not get the brakes to work right with the bigger stock upgrade... (Sucked)

Now i've got a nice firm pedal that get's the car stopped! If your going to a manual setup let me know as I have a manual Master Cyl I no longer need from a Ranger (new/rebuilt)

A little cutting and drilling/Tapping involved but nothing major.
Good luck with the Swap! 91Fox.

Damn it, they told me they didnt have a 4 lug kit.
Hey! Are these brakes installed using the stock 1987 spindles? What backspace on the wheel is required?
Yes most of the kits are designed to mount to a V8 87-93 spindle. Backspacing depends on the wheel width and what setup you have on your a-arms (length/location).
