Depends what year and what model. 5.3 =290-355hp. 6.0=325-400hp. Those numbers could be off slightly.

If you plan to stay N/A, the mud covered poor boy HP starts with the 6.0 LQ4. The 5.3 is a fuckin slug on nuts.

LQ9 is higher compression. 98+ Camaro will be LS1 small valve heads, fine on a 5.3. Don't quite match the bolt on potential of a set of 243's on a 6.0.

Just a quick note, the 98+ F body heads and the 243 (LS6,LS2,799) heads all have the same size valves. The 243 ports are a definite improvement over the predecessors youre right there for sure.
LQ9 is higher compression. 98+ Camaro will be LS1 small valve heads, fine on a 5.3. Don't quite match the bolt on potential of a set of 243's on a 6.0.

This is where the Gen IV LY6 6.0L blows away the Gen III 5.3L , Gen III LQ4, and Gen IV LQ9

dont forget to mention the difference between perimeter and center bolt valve covers

This is where the Gen IV LY6 6.0L blows away the Gen III 5.3L , Gen III LQ4, and Gen IV LQ9
An LY6 isnt better because of the cam. It has L92 style rectangular port heads which make the difference.
