i have looked everywhere online but i cannot find the simple procedure for adjusting valves with an old 340 mopar with shaft rockers

this is my first mopar( always had chevy's) so i know little about these engine...from what i can tell i just put a torque spec on the shaft rocker and they adjust themselves..but then again i dont know...all the help is appreciated..thanks

If it is not an adjustable valvetrain and uses hydraulic lifters, just install the shafts and torque the bolts and your done. Torque rating will depend on bolt size and material.

but if the valve SEATS are sunk into the heads and the valves themself are new and LONG, ( or the head gasket surface has been shaved a bunch) then he will have TOO MUCH lifter plunger preload.......unless he either trims off each valve tip /stem or he buys shorter length pushrods.
the only "adjustable rockers" for a full length shaft mounted dodge 340/360 type system is aftermarket.
