controller or straight outta the hole?.....i`d start at least 10-12 degrees out.....seems the fords with a good head need less timing....i run a yates head 28 on motor,16 on the gas, the timing pulled out .5 second from the release of transbrake........nitrous delayed .2......20 percent starting/100 percent in by 1.5..........good luck

I would start around 14* total. You'll probably end up with upwards of 18* total for with that dirty tune, but better to start low.

What would be a better (cleaner) tune to start with?
IMO, if you start with 28N/24F, you will see a significant fuel ring on the plugs. I would start at 28N/22F and between plug reading and wideband, you may be able to go to 28N/20F. Keep timing out of the motor until you get the fuel correct.

In another thread guys were saying Monty had recommended a 28-20 starting at 5.5 psi for a starting point.
