Standard light bulbs
A guy I work with is in the electrical department and he attended a class to stay up on the rules and codes , the instructor told him in 2014 they will no longer be selling incondecent light bulbs , it will only be fluorescent and LED . So if you like the glow of a standard bulb stock up ! The instructor also told him that electric companies will be raising their rates up to 3 time as much because they won't be making as much cause we're trying to save. How fucked up is that.

Nice. The power companies are the ones telling us to conserve energy and even how to do it. But now they aren't making enough $$$$ so they have to raise rates. Nice.

Now what the hell am I supposed to buy to give my snake a good heat light. Led's and fluorescent don't put out any heat.
I'm gonna hook up both my kids peddle bikes to generators and make them work for their cartoons , clean cloths, and dinner lol!

I have an under tank heater but a real heat emitting light is beneficial.

i blame capitalism.... its my understanding that the original light bulb that edison got to work .....still burns 24hrs. a day in the smithsonian .... yet im changing mine every few months......but you just blame obamaChange you can believe in.
I absolutely hate the light from CFL's and LED's. I shit you not, I will literally buy $XXXX worth of the old school bulbs to last me a lifetime if I have to.
the main reason for the switch is the new type bulbs are made in china, and there was a co. in the US making the old ones, and we cant have our imagine taenished by manf. something in this country

I hate how when I open the closet door and flip the switch the CFL light flashes 6 times like a stobe light. I fucking can't see after that.
I've used nothing but CFL's in my house since 2002. I've changed one of them in that time. There are GE's and were $20 for a pack of 8 at Sams. I'm sure they're cheaper now. The color temp is very close to an incandescent bulb and none of them flicker. Quit your whining and watch your bill drop.
Bullshit. I put one CFL and one standard in my garage door opener as a test and the standard comes on 2 seconds before the CFL and the CFL starts out dimmer and then ramps up.

I believe Edison destroyed the original bulb testing it.
I replaced every standard bulb in my house about 2 years ago.I like to save money and my electric bill is lower.I haven't had to replace any of them yet.
Apparently you guys don't have any dimmers in your house.
