I have a low HP bracket car. Early in year I had hurt motor and rebuilt/upgraded a bit. At same time I also switched from conventional Type "F" to Dex-6 after looking at wear in TH-400 trans.

I am thinking now a combination of increased power and possibly fluid chage has allowed stall to bump a little higher (400 RPM) than before.

Would going to a tractor style fluid drop stall significantly?

You may see a difference when its cold but when the trans warms up you won't see too much.
