Speedtech Plate vs. Fogger?

2708 Views 20 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  Small Block Coupe
The class we are running in allows one stage on our conventional headed BBC! We are currently running a speedtech 2 stage plate with one system capped off..... So far the best MPH the car has ran was 133.15...... Anybody have an idea on how much MPH gain we can expect switching over to a fogger on the same amount of nitrous!

that mph was that 1/8 or 1/4? and you failed to mention how much nitrous you are using. everyones different but generally if you are hitting 250 or less dont expect much from a fogger. if you have any questions contact induction solutions they sponser the board and are very helpful with nitrous problems and give good deals on kits too.
That's true: 133 MPH is c r a w l i n g in the 1/4, but 133 MPH is CRUISING in the 1/8 !
I wouldnt think you should be looking at how much mph you would pick up with the same jetting. I would be looking at the better distribution, tunability and would definately feel more comfortable with spraying a larger shot on a direct port system. Get w/ Steve @ Induction Solutions and get you a fogger, I promise that you wont be disappointed!
Hey Guys,
I'm just a little cornfused here ??? Michael, you say, "Anybody have an idea on how much MPH gain we can expect switching over to a fogger on the same amount of nitrous! " ??? How do you expect to pick up "on same amount of nitrous" ???? There are benifits to going to a single stage direct port over a single stage plate. The direct port system having twice the solenoids feeding it will pick up the back half of the run as well. depending on how big of a jet your going to run, solenoids and nozzles can make some difference... Hope this help.. Steve
Yes that mph is in the 1/8th mile...... The car usually has the 450 pills in the Speedtech plate.

I understand that it should pick up the back half of the run.... The car really needs to run 135! Wasnt sure if switching over to a fogger would net that extra 2-3 mph or not....
go with the fogger and put more than 450 in it. you can tune individual cylinders instead of trying to the whole motor with two pills. 135 for sure then
A direct port system would pick it up over the plate for sure. If your going to be using a single stage with larger jets here's what you might want to have ???? If your going to be over a .036 or .038 jet we even open up the standard bottom exit solenoid to help as well.. SJ

damn steve i want one :supz::cool::cool:
What kind of turn around time are we looking at for a fogger like this? I know most places its around 2 weeks...... I was curious if you could get it done any sooner! Thanks
tell steve you want the .050 pill tune up. hope you got a controller or a 7531 box. those guys in extreme street won't know what hit them
WOW " michaelttt5 "!! A single-stage plate with 2 wins this month...very impressive. If you let Steve J. plumb a kit Extreme Street will really be playin catch-up.

We have both! :)

Thanks for the props..... We were really happy winning 2 races on the same weekend! We were outgunned both nights but it worked out! Cant wait for the next race! :)

I would go with Steve over someone else that has a little quicker turn-a-round, although Steve generally has a good turn-a-round himself. Give him a call.
You will be surpised how fast that speedtech plate will go. We have been 135+ @ 3450# on a small tire. Next time you have your headers off, look how even the burn is at each exhaust port.

No disrespect to the foggers, but you might go faster spending your money elsewhere. A data logger with O2 may produce a better result. Just saying...

Don't you think that NRC motor might have something to do with that MPH.:p

Or I might just be smoking crack:smt033

The car already has a data logger......

That 135 mph was that on one stage or two? Either way that is flying....
