i have a 400 incher sbc that i sprayed with 275hp jetting using a 5671a-8 plug
i just went to the 325 setting and went to a -9 just to be safe
was this a bad move or what??
i ask cuz i have 2 pals with sbc 383 and 434 that both use the -8 plug the 383 sees 325hp jets and the 434 sees 400 hp via 2 systems
plz advise me on plugs for my 325 setting and fuel press, timing, etc.
thx a lot

275 with a ngk 8... Damn! in my opinion, a ngk 9 is to hot for a 325 shot! I run a 408 sbc single fogger with a smaller shot than that and run ngk 11's.
I would say switch to 10's at the very least.
As far as fp and timing, I would say you will probably end up around 5.5lbs. and timing back to around 16-20 on the spray just my .02

10's

I always run the 10's all the way up to 350 shot. Hasn't hurt anything yet anyway. Most all the other cars in our class are running them with 300-350 shots as well.

I have a 414 SBC, 23 degree heads, 14.8:1, about 600 hp on motor, put another 125-150hp on top with nitrous, run 38 total on motor, run 30 total on spray, using a -10 plug and the timing mark is right before the bend.
