Drain to the timing cover goes into crankcase. The fuel pump block off plate is a common place on older covers.
Right, in front of the first counterweight were you want it. my pan has a scraper and a windshield screen in it. I also have a vacuum pump. I hate to defeat the purpose of that oil control by dumping oil into the area with the most windage. Maybe it doesn’t matter but I’d like to think it does...

Oops, I misread this when I commented. Yes, timing cover is fine.

Just imagine the car is doing a wheelie at 45 degrees then visualize where the oil draining from the turbos will want to go. If the turbos are forward and above that point you should be fine.

Not a lot of oil is actually draining from the turbos compared to everything else coming from the mains/rods and lifter area. But because it can be aerated going thru the turbo bearing the line needs to be larger than one might think.

So a 3000lb car with 1000whp 26 x 20 et drag. What first gear would you run in a glide 1.80 or 1.69?

NGK 5671 in your heat range ( probably a 9 )

[email protected] .050 in a 321 gets you easily 7500 rpm.

1/8 mile with 1000 whp i'd run a 4.56 with a 28 inch tire
1/4 mile, 3.73 with 28 inch tire.

Adjust accordingly for tire diameter and shift rpm. But it won;t change too much. Maybe 4.30's and 3.55's if you spin it to 8000

Plan to shift about 8,000 with that manual transmission in n/a form I would leave at 8,200 to 8,500 and shift at 8,200. Thanks for the info car has 4.56 in it now, we race both 1/4 and 1/8 mile. Car currently has a 26 x 10 stiff wall et drag. I appreciate the info.

Looks like I will be using a 1.80 glide. I am going to gear it for 1/4 Mille and run 3.73 gear.
