You see Gary, that's my point.
I have room in my heart for all cars
not just the fast ones.
Not just a Ford guy only either although
I'm considered to be a fan boy.

One of my all time favorite engines is
the 3.3 L V-6 Mopar.....mine was in a
'90 Dodge Grand Caravan we used as
a parts fetcher.
Far more punchier than comparable
V-6 engines from Ford or GM and rock
solid reliable.
Son inlaw wrecked the van here in WV
being very stupid.
I've always said that I'm a engine guy...
not just the performance oriented kind.

Your problem is that I don't worship chevy
only.

I exposed the truth about chevy way back
in Car Craft's forum when the economy
crashed and chevy almost died.

I'll say it again, if not for the aftermarket
chevy would not have a performance
heritage worth mentioning.
This coming from a openly stated Vette
lover of all generations.
Oh brother ..Seek help quickly

For the most part.....take the aftermarket away from chevy
and Ford would only need Ford.

Chevy used to be considered the best because of it's
aftermarket following.
I pointed out that chevy needed that aftermarket bailout.

Chevy overall really is no longer relevant unless you
use the aftermarket.
Then show me your factory Ford motor running in the 9's or 8's

“Henry don’t you dare forget about our picnic date up by the lake this afternoon! I know you’re working on Flatheads but they’re gonna have to wait this time!!”

Say what you want but Y-blocks were tough. look at the quality of materials just in this random picture.

That’s ☝a full size candy bar not one of the half assed things they sell you today.

LOL, they are haters alright. Look at this Oldsmogoon gmracket....trying to tell us all how great Olds motors are, yet no one races them!! LOL.
You have to see the comedy in their statements!
To be fair......Olds was the brand that actually marketed in mass 6 bolt
per cylinder heads.
The engine in question was the kissing cousin of the alloy buick
ultimately used in the Land Rover.
Repco won a championship or two in F1 using the block while
utilizing sohc heads.
I'm not sure but the years were either '65 - '66 or '66 - '67

Henry would be a better source of info on the matter.
