Ive got a guy that wants to trade me the tool box for an 88 Jeep Cherokee. The Cherokee is in pretty rough shape, needs a drivers side floorboard, tires, bushing, brakes and a few other things plus it has 180,XXX miles. IMO it would be worth about 1000 bucks and id be happy with 800.

The tool box is in excellent condition and has been sitting for approx 6 years. Whats it worth?

Is this a good trade? Will I come out on top? Is the warranty transferable to me?

I'd trade it. That's a good little tool box that would last forever.

That box is only 19" deep, so it would make a good home box. The problem with trying to sell that box is people don't have the cash. It probably went for around 1,800-2,000 new.

The guy is stopping by tonight to look at the Jeep, hopefully he likes what he sees, cuz I sure like to toolbox. It would just be used around the house to replace a couple of craftsman boxes. I think it a good deal, he has the original receipt that shows he bought it new in 2001 for 2300 and some change.
