I currently have a 172 carter mechanical fuel pump on my 10.5 compression bbc. Pro systems 1000cfm 4150 carb. I plan on in the future to spray a 150 shot. Is my fuel pump enough? Ive never messed with an electric fuel pump before and how hard is it? Thanks

if thats on your camaro in the sig you have to be more specific on the rest of the fuel system. are you still running the stock 5/16 or 3/8 lines? and is it still to a stock pickup in a stock tank? sumped? you could throw a helper electric pump on it but i recomend upgrading to atleast 1/2" steel/aluminum line if you are thinking of spraying it. also the carter pump i think will do you in on nitrous. IF you really wanted to keep a mechanical pump check out the racepump's billet mechanical fuel pump. the only real modification you would need to make is run a return line back to the tank/cell. they are also relatively inexpensive i think they are aroudn 199$.

what would be the advantage of a 140gph holley blue pump over my 172 carter? Could I just go with one large fuel pump and regulator for motor and nitrous?
