What's your favorite flavor?

I'd like to find out what an equivalent is to the Permatex Ultra Grey... that's my favorite right now but I'd like to buy it in larger quantities... any other brands to match the quality of that one that can be bought in a caulk tube?

Re: The Silicone Thread!!

Permatex Ultra Grey is an Oxime Silicone Rubber. There are a few other companies selling it like VersaChem but I never tried theirs. The only stuff I ever found locally was the Permatex, and being it works so well I never though about switching.
Chris what are you looking for like 13 oz tubes to use in a gun?

Re: The Silicone Thread!!

I used to use the Ultra block as it looks nice but it is not very durable silicone. Ultra Grey is far and beyond the black.

Ultra Black here.... Never had any issues and been using it for over 15 years on engines. Big plus is the Tube size.

What is the GM grey sealant? That stuff is badass.
Yes, the GM stuff is bad ass! but I think it could just be the Ultra Grey repackaged.

Re: The Silicone Thread!!

I love these bottles both

right stuff grey or black depends on a few things i like the grey when being used under a aluminum manifold just seems to match better if your not painting the block black. Right stuff is the win for waternecks
