The highest dwell we have seen on a run is 6.7ms with 15.5V down track showing on the logger. We shift at 8200 rpm. The runs aren’t ever longer than 4.2 seconds, and the dwell is ramped in from 4ms upward to fully in by 30psi boost. So on the chip it’s not under much dwell time. I think the coils likely are just fine. We will try these changes and see what happens. I don’t see a problem commanding 7.5ms dwell down track given what the numbers look like for these coils.

Exactly, a boat engine, no. But running them for short durations at high dwell is proving to be just fine..
