In all likelyhood they are probably still in a state of shock knowing what the kid did and just want to be left alone. Shamed and stunned, trying to deal with it, trying to figure out what went wrong and how they could have missed it....If it had been a son of mine I know I would want to hide. This whole thing impacts everybody differently, you can't explain it. None of it is good but the 9 year old girl tears me up.

The News hasn't had much to say about his family. Maybe the apple didn't fall far from the tree and they are as messed up as the kid is. Hard to understand how a kid could be as far out of touch as he seemed to be and the parents not see it and try to get help. But if they are out of touch as well they could have fed his issues.

He was not accepted into the Army because he was a pot head.He had no income.So where did he get his money for pot and to buy that handgun which I am sure was over $600.
