I building a '66 Plymouth full round tube car. The back of the engine is moved back to the bottom of the windshield.

The question I have is regarding the bars 6a, 6b and 6c in the sfi specification. Can the 6a and 6c bars be angled back to the main frame rails to get enough set back on bar 6b for easy transmission removal?

Thanks-Jason

Ok this what I was thinking of doing... Also I would cut the center bar that is already between the frame rails.

The center bar (6C) can be set back a maximum of 16 inches from bars 6A and 6B and I read that as being the intersection point at the rocker and forward hoop bars.

It looks to me that you have the main frame tubes too low in the car. They look to be even with the bottom of the rockers and on my tube chassis car I have them about 1" below the rocker sill plate. The front of the front fenders are usually about 4" higher than at the rear, which would cause the frame rails to be lower than the front valence.
