How much preload on a fixed crush sleave? I just put 10 inch pounds because they should not need much, but never knew how much they should have. Getting a new gear ready so thought I would do one right. LOL

I also sand the edges of the pinion and ring gear with a sand roll, any other tricks you guys do? I can't set them up to tight, it has to go 1200-1500 miles down the highway to for Drag Week:partyman:
Thanks Jeff

10-15 in-lb for used bearings I believe Jeff. 20-25 in-lb typically on new bearings. Flat file the back of the ring gear and spool flange to remove any burrs. Good luck at Drag Week!

Thanks Craig! I have heard with a solid crush sleave you dont need as much. But you are in line with what I have done in the past
