We use a "SHIFT-i" in the road race car that I drive. You can program it a ton of different ways, but it is a little complicated to get setup.

Working on a new dash panel for my car over the past few weeks... new tach has shift lights
built in to the face... works great so far, but still working on the programming and getting use to
the lights coming on as RPM come up quickly in lower gears.

Speed Hut over in Utah built these gauges for me...

I have a G-Tech Pro EGS tach that has a sequential LED shift light. I like it because I can anticipate the shiftpoint and hit it dead on every time. It's a nice little tach. I also use it to datalog A/F, fuel pressure, boost, etc.

Sorry I didnt see your responses sooner! I do not remember what the issues were exactly, one of our other team members programed the unit and said that they thought it was more complicated than it needed to be. We have ours programmed to have a pretty big window that the lights cover, but you can program it to be much tighter. You can watch it in this video if you are interested.

You need the tach to run the light, but it's detachable. I have mine on the dash directly in front of me.
